Education:
Boise State University, degrees in nursing and science education. Sherry’s background and education as a nurse has brought her along the career path of Labor and Delivery room nurse, childbirth educator, community health educator and now Director of a diverse range of departments at St Luke’s, all dedicated to improving the lives of women.

Professional:
Adjunct Professor, Boise State University
American Academy of Pediatrics, Executive Director of Idaho Chapters

Hometown:
Sherry is a native Idahoan and has been with St Luke’s for 20 years.

Family:
Sherry and her husband, Jerry, have a married daughter Deedra and a son-in-law, Daric who live in Boise.  Andrea, her younger daughter is a recent college graduate working in Portland, Oregon.

My favorite things:
Family vacations:
Traveling together to explore new cities, great food and shopping is so much fun.
Reading: Give me a great book, a warm sunny day by a pool or the beach, add a Diet Coke and a piece of chocolate and it is perfect.
Rylee and Cooper: Our two golden retrievers, who are just part of the family. It just wouldn’t be the same without a little dog hair on the floors and a dog on each couch.
Volunteering: I have served on many boards and task forces over the years, but being a mom to foreign exchange students has to be one of my highlights; 4 sons from 4 different countries, definitely one of my favorite things!

What Do You Celebrate?
Everyday I go to work at a job that I truly enjoy and have had that amazing feeling in all my different career hats. It is very rewarding to
be in a job where you know that you make a difference in someone’s life.
