BE AT YOUR START LINE BY 8:30AM
The Elite Wheelchair Division will begin at 8:45am. Each wave follows in five-minute increments.

 



Some of you will run, some of you  will walk, some of you like to compete, and others complete the course with friends and family. Therefore the Start Line is divided into color coded start waves to accommodate everyone. Choose your wave from the list below and mark it on your entry form. To participate in the same start wave as friends and family, make sure you ALL select the same wave on your entry form.

 RED WAVE
TIMED COMPETITIVE RUN

(Includes Timing Chip)

Participants must be able to complete the 5K (3.1 mile) course in under 35 minutes.

Participants in competitive waves are NOT ALLOWED to take the Special Achiever's Course if they want to qualify for an age group medal.

ABSOLUTELY NO WHEELS OR BABY JOGGERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE RED WAVE.

 YELLOW WAVE
TIMED COMPETITIVE WALK

THIS IS NOT THE RACEWALK DIVISION
(Includes Timing Chip)

Participants in this wave MUST WALK the entire course to ensure fairness for all Yellow Wave participants.

Participants in competitive waves are NOT ALLOWED to take the Special Achiever's Course if they want to qualify for an age group medal.

ABSOLUTELY NO WHEELS OR BABY JOGGERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE YELLOW WAVE.

NON-COMPETITIVE RUN/WALK WAVE

Open to all participants of all abilities to run or walk the 5K course. If you wish to participate with family and friends, make sure you all select the same wave on your entry form.

ABSOLUTELY NO WHEELS OR BABY JOGGERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PURPLE WAVE.

 

 BLUE WAVE
NON-COMPETITIVE RUN/WALK WAVE

ORANGE WAVE
FAMILY DIVISION WAVE

ALL BABY JOGGERS, STROLLERS & ASSISTED WHEELCHAIRS
ARE WELCOME IN THIS WAVE

Anyone with strollers, baby joggers, wheelchairs, and assisted wheelchairs, Orange is YOUR wave. For the safety of ALL participants and regardless of athletic ability, all participants in the Orange Wave MUST WALK the entire course

STROLLER RULES
Rules for STROLLERS, BABY JOGGERS, and ALL OTHER WHEELS (excluding Elite Wheelchair Division) for everyone’s safety and insurance liability reasons.

  1. Sign up in the Orange Wave
  2. Everyone, including children and infants, must have a completed and signed entry form
  3. Due to potential for injury of other participants there can be NO RUNNING or JOGGING in the Orange Wave.
  4. Race bibs must be worn visibly on the FRONT of each participant. If participant is in a stroller, the front of the stroller is okay.


COMMUNITY WHEELS SCHOLARSHIPS
The Elks Rehab Hospital has made it possible for fifty (50) scholarships to be available to community female participants in everyday wheelchairs to participate in the Celebration 5K Family Division (Orange Wave). Thank you Elks Rehab Hospital!

ELITE DIVISIONS

ELITE REGISTRATION IS ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE AND THE DEADLINE IS SEPTEMER 10, 2010

ELITE WHEELCHAIR DIVISION

Invited world-class wheelchair athletes make this division a unique component of the 5K Run, Walk, Stroll.

ELITE SEEDED RUN DIVISION

Invited World Class Runners AND runners at least 13 years of age who can verify a time of under 21:00 minutes for a 5K (3.1 mile) may qualify for elite seeding. Runners who wish to be considered for this division should send information verifying their ability to:

Chip Timing Instructions

ELITE RACEWALK EXHIBITION

This division is different from past years and is no longer an elite judged division. The Racewalk exhibition will offer individuals a chance to participate with other racewalkers in a 5K environment. Participants wishing to participate in this exhibition need to include a letter with their application stating they are a racewalker. Please send your letter to: RaceWalk, Celebration Office, 608 W. Hays, Boise, ID 83702. Exhibition deadline is SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2010.

Absolutely no rollerblades, bicycles, skateboards, or dogs permitted on the course!.

Timing Option:
TIMING IS FOR RED AND YELLOW COMPETITIVE WAVES

To be eligible for an age group medal in the red and yellow competitive waves you MUST have a timing chip. The timing chip is included in the entry fee on the Celebration entry form. You must pick up your chip from the St. Luke's Women's Show registration area. Upon completing the event, the chip MUST be returned at the Finish Line collection area. There are many environmental factors that may cause a rare malfunction with your timing chip. Please be aware that we try our hardest to ensure accurate timing results.
