What are USATF-Certified Courses?

"A USATF-certified course is a road race course whose distance has been certified for accuracy.

Courses must be certified for any road running performance to be accepted as a record or to be nationally ranked. Furthermore, running a race on a certified course allows you to accurately compare your time to performances run on other certified courses because you can be sure the distances were the same. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate."

Elite Run Division
For many of these returning athletes --who are mothers, teachers and working women-- the 5K Event is an opportunity to deliver positive inspiration for health and well-being to participants, their families and communities.

Elite Wheelchair Division
If you think the runners are fast, wait until you see the wheelchair athletes complete the course in just over twelve minutes! Be prepared to be awestruck... and inspired!

Race Walk Exhibition
Watch out, America! Race Walking is is becoming a leading field in road races across the country. At the Celebration, many local, regional and national Race Walkers participate for a chance to set new personal records. Tie on your walking shoes and start moving! This Exhibition will not be judged in 2010.

Idaho Elite Runners
Idaho residents have great talent when it comes to running. The Celebration 5K supports these women athletes by offering prize money to the top five finishers who live in the State of Idaho.
Deadline to sign up as an Idaho Elite Athlete is September 10th, 2010.

DEADLINE FOR ELITE ATHLETE REGISTRATION IS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th, 2010. Elite Athlete registration is only available online.
