memory of Marian Pritchett 1944 - 2002
Mile
marker one along the Celebration course is dedicated
to Marian Pritchett, the "lady with a heart big
enough to include everyone". Marian, a long-time
friend of the Celebration, and head teacher of the Booth
Memorial School where she taught for 28 years, passed
away unexpectedly on January 14, 2002. Marian motivated
her Booth team of girls to climb the hill to the Depot
each year during the 5K. She was responsible for inspiring
thousands of young women to reach their highest ideals
and along the way they celebrated their many victories
together. |
