WOMEN’S SHOW LOADING DOCK

Location: Boise Centre, 850 W. Front Street, Boise
Description:As a volunteer for the loading
dock you will be required to assist vendors in unloading
vehicles and transporting items from the loading dock
to their booth space in the Boise Centre.
Must be able to follow directions, lift heavy objects
and work with the Boise Police Department. This area
consists of constant physical activity.

WOMEN’S
SHOW MOVE-IN

Description:
Move-in volunteers will help the Celebration staff
with odd tasks associated with setting up the Women’s
Show at the Boise Centre. Tasks might
include, but are not limited to, setting up booths,
helping put up signage, organizing boxes, and folding
t-shirts. Must be able to follow directions, partake
in physical activity and lift heavy objects 25+ pounds.

SHOW T-SHIRTS

Description:
As a t-shirt volunteer you will hand out t-shirts
to each participant, greet and give basic instructions
to participants as they enter the t-shirt room, and
maintain crowd control during busy times. Basic customer
service skills are necessary and you will be standing
for long periods of time.

Description:
As a info/greeter/host volunteer you will be stationed in the lobby
of the Boise Centre during the Women’s
Show. Your duties will include greeting individuals,
handing out bags, answering basic questions and providing directional assistance
to those attending the show. A cheerful disposition
and a constant smile are a must! Plan on spending
a lot of time on your feet!

SHOW NUMBER PICK-UP

Description:
As a Number Pick-up volunteer you will be in the registration
room at the Women’s Show at the Boise Centre. Your tasks might include handing out event
numbers, greeting participants, and/or assisting participants
on the registration process. You must be able to handle
big crowds of people and pay attention to details.
Plan on the possibility of standing for long periods
of time.

As a Move-out/clean-up volunteer you will be at the
Boise Centre helping the Celebration
take down the Women’s Show after the show has closed.
You will be taking down tables, signage, vendor booths,
etc. The ability to lift boxes and heavy items is
required. Must also be able to follow directions and
participate in strenuous physical activity late at
night.

Description:
As a Finish Line Party Set-up volunteer you will help
set up tables and chairs outside in Ann Morrison Park
on the Friday before the 5K. You will be placing signage
in required areas and partaking in various set-up
tasks. This area requires heavy lifting and physical
activity and the ability to follow directions.

SET-UP - RECYCLING

Description: As a Recycling Set-up volunteer you will help prepare Ann Morrison Park for recycling on the Friday before the 5K. This will include, but not be limited to, setting up recycling bins and recycling signage in the park. This area requires lifting and physical activity and the ability to follow directions.

LATE
REGISTRATION

Description:
As a Late Registration volunteer you will be located
outdoors at Capitol Park in downtown Boise on the
morning of the event. This area is where participants
pick up their event shirts and event numbers at the
last moment. You will register late participants,
hand out necessary event items and answer basic event
questions. The ability to pay attention to details
and provide customer service is required.

START
LINE TEAM

Location: Downtown Boise, Corner of Capitol Blvd & Idaho Street
Description:
As a Start Line volunteer you will be located in downtown
Boise setting up the Start Line Area the morning of
the event. This includes working with flagging materials,
setting up barricades and roadblocks and maintaining
crowd control. Heavy lifting might be required and
you will be standing for long periods of time. A pleasant
but firm attitude might be required if you are stationed
at a roadblock.

COURSE
MARSHAL

Location: Along 5K Course Route
Description:
As a Course Marshal volunteer you will be outdoors
monitoring the crowd of women as they make their way
from the Capitol Building to Ann Morrison Park. Safety
is our number one concern and you will help us maintain
safety along the course. You will be required to stand
at intersections or at various points to ensure that
no vehicles are allowed on the course during the 5K
event. A pleasant but firm attitude is required when
dealing with disrupted drivers.

WATER
STATION

Location: Boise Depot
Description:
As a Water Station volunteer, you will be outdoors
pouring and handing out thousands of cups of water
to the participants as they pass by the Boise Depot.
You will also clean up the water station once all
the participants have received their cup of water.
Be prepared for the possibility of getting wet and
for the opportunity to cheer on the crowd as they
stop by for a drink of water!

Description:
As part of the Finish Line Team you will be outdoors
setting-up the Finish Line area on both Friday night
and Saturday morning at the entrance to Ann Morrison
Park on Americana Blvd. You will set up flagging materials,
barricades and the timing area. An enthusiastic personality
and a big smile are a must to encourage these women
across the Finish Line on Saturday morning! Plan on
standing for long periods of time.

Description:
As a Food Set-up volunteer you will help food vendors
set up for the Finish Line Party in Ann Morrison
Park on the day of the 5K event. This includes transporting
the food from the vehicles to the necessary areas,
placing table clothes and the necessary utensils in
each canopy, placing trashcans in necessary areas
and preparing areas for the volunteers who will be
serving the food and beverages. Plan on lots of physical
activity and some lifting.

LINE PARTY SHUTTLES

Location: Ann Morrison Park
Description:
As a volunteer at the shuttle area in Ann Morrison
Park, you will assist the shuttle company to ensure
participants line up and load the shuttles in an organized
and timely manner. Be prepared to use your "outside"
voice to provide information to the participants during
busy times.

RECYCLING – FINISH LINE PARTY

Location: Ann Morrison Park
Description:
As a Recycling volunteer at the Finish Line Party,
you will be responsible for educating the vendors,
sponsors and participants about the locations of recycling
bins. You will also be responsible for gathering cardboard
and plastic bottles and delivering them to the specific
recycling dumpsters and/or bins. The Celebration cares
about Boise and encourages all involved to help keep
our event clean and green.

PARK
CLEAN-UP

Location: Ann Morrison Park Description:
As a Clean-up volunteer you will be outside in Ann
Morrison Park making sure the park is clean during
and after the Finish Line Party. This includes picking
up trash, tying full trash bags, transporting full
trash bags to dumpsters and replacing liners. You
will also break down the trash boxes once the trash
has been collected. Physical activity is required
for this position.

EQUIPMENT
"SWEEP" TEAM
Saturday, September 25th
9am – 12pm
Age Requirement: 16+
Location: Along 5K Course Route, Greenbelt and in Ann Morrison Park
Description: As a member of the “Equipment
Sweep Team” you will be along the course and in Ann Morrison Park
gathering all pieces of equipment after the 5K and
Finish Line Party have ended. This includes picking
up cones, event fencing, tables, chairs and other
items used at the event
and transporting them to necessary vehicles or storage
trailers. After all equipment is gathered, you will
accompany a Volunteer Team Leader to the Celebration
storage unit to unload all equipment. Physical activity
is required for this position and heavy lifting may
be associated with various tasks.
